Eco Hoppers for Coal and Iron Ore Unloading

The mobile eco hoppers produced by our factory are designed to handle a variety of bulk materials such as coal cinder, cement powder, iron powder, and grain. These hoppers are suitable for both unloading from ships and loading onto trucks, offering a streamlined process for bulk material handling.

Unloading Process

The bulk cargo is first loaded into a grab bucket using a door-block type grab crane. The crane lifts the grab filled with cargo to the top of the hopper, where the grab releases its load into the hopper. The hopper is equipped with an electric hydraulic push control system that regulates the flow of material through the discharge door, allowing for safe and controlled unloading. This system not only ensures smooth material flow but also significantly improves operational efficiency.

Material Specifications

  • Suitable Materials: Coal, Clinker, Sand, Iron Ore, Cement
  • Density Range: 1.3–2.7 t/m³

Technical Features

1. Precision Cutting of Steel Plates

The steel plates used in hopper construction are cut using a numerical control machine, ensuring:

  • Clean and precise cuts.
  • Minimal welding stress.
  • Tight gaps between plates, resulting in strong weld joints that resist cracking.

2. Advanced Welding Techniques

Gas-shielded arc welding is employed to minimize welding stress, ensuring the durability of the welding lines. Welding adheres to GB985-80 and GB986-80 standards to ensure quality and structural integrity.

3. Precision Machining

The holes in the upper beams, press rods, lower beams, and scoops are bored by precision machinery, guaranteeing concentric alignment of parts for optimal performance.

4. Cold-Finished Scoop Fabrication

The bent plates of the scoops are treated with cold-finished techniques to ensure precise sizing and appearance.

5. Industry Standards

All other manufacturing techniques follow the hopper construction standards and the guidelines set by the Ministry of Communications and our internal company standards.

Painting and Coating Process

  • Surface Preparation: All steel surfaces are sandblasted to a Sa2.5 grade to ensure a clean base for painting.
  • Primer Coating: An epoxy resin primer of approximately 40µm thickness is applied for rust prevention.
  • Middle Coating: An additional epoxy resin coat of 80µm thickness is added for extra protection.
  • Top Coat: A polyurethane top coat of 40µm is applied, providing a durable, weather-resistant finish. The final coat is blue, and the hopper is fitted with a nameplate indicating specifications, manufacturing date, and factory serial number.

Maintenance and Safety Guidelines

1. General Use

  • Avoid any impact from the grab on the hopper.
  • Do not climb over the platform railings. If inspection outside the railing is necessary, proper safety precautions must be taken.
  • Exercise caution when ascending or descending the hopper. Jumping or reckless behavior is strictly prohibited.

2. Regular Inspections

  • Regularly check all wires and wire joints for wear or damage.
  • Ensure proper operation and regular inspection of all electrical components.
  • Periodically inspect all screws for loosening or cracks. If any issues are found, cease hopper operation until the screws are replaced.
  • Regularly examine all welding lines for cracks. Any detected cracks should be repaired before the hopper is used again.

3. Lifting and Positioning

Use steel wire ropes of equal length when lifting the hopper to ensure equal stress on all four legs during landing.

Additional Guidelines

During the manufacturing process, buyers are welcome to inspect and supervise the hopper production at any time. Upon delivery, the seller will provide detailed drawings of the hopper, drawings of easily replaceable parts, and a catalog of all components.

The mobile hoppers produced by our factory are not only durable and reliable but are also designed to enhance efficiency and safety in bulk material handling operations. With their robust construction, advanced features, and easy maintenance, they provide an ideal solution for unloading and truck loading of various bulk materials.
