What is Bucket Wheel Excavator and Reclaimer?

A tracked mobile bucket wheel reclaimer, also named mobile bucket wheel excavator, is a large heavy duty bulk materials handling equipment. This machine can reclaim bulk materials from stockyard and excavate top soil from surface ground.

Components of bucket wheel reclaimer and Excavator

• Bucket Wheel
  The central feature of the machine is a large wheel with multiple digging buckets attached around its circumference. The configuration of the bucket wheel needs to refer to the materials and operating conditions.
• Excavating Boom
  The bucket wheel is mounted on a long boom, which can be raised, lowered, and extended to reach different areas. The boom provides the necessary reach and flexibility to excavate material from various depths and positions.
• Conveyor System
  As the buckets scoop up material, they deposit it onto a conveyor system integrated into the machine. This conveyor system transports the excavated material away from the excavation site for further processing or transportation.
• Tracked Undercarriage
  Most bucket wheel excavators are mounted on a tracked undercarriage, which provides stability and mobility. This undercarriage allows the excavator to move around the mining or excavation site, repositioning itself as needed to access different areas.
